Purpose
This guide shows you how to find a previously archived photo or video and unarchive (restore) it in Google Photos.
Before you start
- This guide assumes you are using Google Photos on an Android phone or tablet. However, the same functionality exists in the iPhone app or web app.
Steps
- Open the Google Photos app
. - At the bottom, select Collections.
- Select Archive.
- Select and hold the item you want to restore.
- Select ⋮ > Unarchive.
Result
Your photo or video will be back in the Google Photos library.
